On the road again!  A mobile tire repair van replaced our flat tire and we were back on schedule for the afternoon.  Our target today was the town of Applecross. Applecross is along the North Coast 500 route (see note below) and situated close to the second highest single track road pass in the country - our target for tomorrow.  It was a bit rainy and cloudy along the way but we still had some views.
We drove along the Inner Sound with views of the Islands of Rona and Raasay. Our cottage for the night was in Toscaig, a bit further along than Applecross. It is in a remote location and we received an email from the owners advising us to "bring food."

Note:  The North Coast 500, or NC 500, is a 500- mile tourist road-trip route that goes around Northern Scotland.  It was established in 2015 and begins and ends in Inverness.
